Memory like an elephant

I have been seriously neglecting my blog....but fortunately I have not been neglecting my consumption of wine.  I just had a quick glass of wine that I bought with my grandmother in mind. It's been 12 years since she passed away and she continues to be in my thoughts almost everyday. It happens too often that an important person in our lives leaves us sooner than we'd like, but they are forever a part of us and forever in our hearts. When it comes to choosing a wine, why not think of someone you love and select a bottle with them in mind.  Again, with the selectiveness of a seasoned wine drinker I chose my bottle with careful evaluation and attentiveness to....the picture on the bottle! Rigamorole Red has an elephant on the label and my nana loved elephants. It's an easy equation with an easy solution....in went the bottle into my basket. It's a 2009 Okanagan red whose label is just as enjoyable and simple as the wine itself. As it says on the label "save the mental energy for analyzing our dreams" Just sit back, pour a glass and pour another for a friend, and let the wine unwind you. Never let it be said that you didn't enjoy life. I recently spend an evening with a very dear friend and together we savoured our wine, our company and our memories. During the course of the evening a wonderful phrase was coined...."Life is meant to be delicious"  I mean to use this phrase over and over again and want to share it with everyone. Don't let life pass you by. Don't waste energy on negative thoughts. 2012 is all about living so let's all get out there and do just that. Don't let choosing your wine be boring.....choose with care, choose with flair and live as wildly as you dare.

 Here's to you, Nana!

Cheers!
